Outstanding Business Analytics Performers at the SAS Forum
Nestlé and ERGO are honored for their innovative and visionary use of analytics
SAS, a leader in analytics, awarded Nestlé and ERGO with its 2019 Business Analytics Performer award. The award is presented each year at the SAS Forum for visionary digitization projects. The largest analytics conference in the German-speaking region, the 2019 SAS Forum took place from June 4–5 in Bonn (Germany).
Nestlé was recognized for successfully incorporating analytics into its most important business processes. The technology is helping Nestlé, the world's largest food company, to forecast consumer demand with precision and reliability. The improved forecasting and optimized demand planning are a critical factor when it comes to producing the right products, in the right quantities, at the right times, and at the right places—while simultaneously minimizing inventories. Beyond demand planning and supply chain management, Nestlé is using analytics as a foundation for deploying innovative technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning. Olivier Gléron, AVP Demand & Supply Planning, received the award on behalf of Nestlé in Bonn.
Financial services provider ERGO is taking the customer journey to a new level. The company is establishing relevance with multichannel customers by communicating across all touchpoints at just the right time with just the right offer. That applies to contact that takes place via the company website, on a mobile device, through a consultant, or with the service center. This value-based marketing management based on a complete 360-degree view of the customer leads to enhanced customer satisfaction and opens the door to a wide range of new sales opportunities. The objective is real-time communication that takes circumstances and events into account while ensuring the customer can interact with the brand without having to wait. The award was accepted on behalf of ERGO by Marcel Böhl, Head of CRM Strategy and Service Management, and his team at this year’s SAS Forum.
Recent winners of the award include Commerzbank, Continental Reifen, Munich Re, DZ Bank, Deutsche Telekom, DER Touristik, and CLAAS.
