Senior Manager, Nationwide Building Society

A Senior Manager within Nationwide Building Society's Data & Functions Technology Delivery function, Clark currently leads the migration strategy and delivery from Nationwide's the SAS^® 9 environment to SAS^® Viya^®.

Over the 15 years of being a Nationwide employee, Clark has previously worked within the Data Governance Function, the SAS® Administration team and the SAS^® Data Engineering capability. This has helped Clark build a wide understanding of Nationwide data and its uses within SAS® by the c.2,500 users which will support the migration to SAS^® Viya^®.

At Nationwide, Clark established the internal SAS^® User Group which successfully supports knowledge sharing, collaboration and training of the user community for the last 3 years. Most recently, the SAS^® User Group completed a hackathon with a UK based wildlife charity using SAS^® Viya^®. 

Clark is also proud to see the continuation of the study groups to support colleagues wishing to attain SAS^® certifications. This aligns to his passion of being a volunteer STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) Ambassador who visits local schools and colleges to deliver activities to young people including career talks.

Outside of work, Clark has a beautiful wife and energetic young son. He enjoys running for his running club and completed the London Marathon in 2023 in 3:17 minutes.
