Jorge Simões

Advisor to the Board of Directors at EDP Inovação

Jorge built his career around Information Technology in Fortune-500 companies in Europe and the United States, including Vodafone, SchlumbergerSema and Eli Lilly, having joined EDP Inovação in 2012 as an Advisor to the Board of Directors.

At EDP, Jorge leads the Data Leap strategic innovation area focusing on digital innovation and covering Big Data, Advanced Analytics, Distributed Computing and the Internet of Things, amongst other topics. Jorge is also involved in EDP’s support to entrepreneurship and the startup community, as well as in executing EDP’s Venture Capital strategy.

Jorge holds a Computer Science degree from the University of Hertfordshire in the UK and a Masters in Business Administration from Universities Católica and Nova in Lisbon in collaboration with the MIT Sloan School of Management.
