Vancouver SAS Users group
Our next meeting is scheduled around April 2009.
Please watch for the agenda coming soon….
Highlights from our last meeting:
The last Vancouver SAS User Group meeting was held on October 8, 2008 at BC
Cancer Agency Research Centre. It was a great success. This meeting was packed
with great presentations, great community and great breakfast. The executive
team was excited to introduce the first newsletter and networking exercise.
Feedbacks are very positive and encouraging. The presentations included:
- Introducing Proc REG – Nathaniel Derby, Statis Pro Data Analytics
- Tips & Tricks
- Ryan Woods, Biostatistician, BC Cancer Agency
- Data Cleansing - Common Practices
- Peter Hruby, Sr. Manager, Risk Management, HSBC
All presentations and the newsletter can be found in our archive below. Thanks
to all of you who supported and attended. We look forward to seeing you again
in next spring.
Get involved…
We are always looking for User presentations for upcoming User Group meetings,
whether it is a quick 5 minute tip or a full 30-45 minute presentation. This
is an excellent opportunity to not only share your knowledge and your experience
with your peers, but also get feedback and ideas on the work that you are doing
with SAS. If you are interested in contributing, please contact one of our
executive team members or Christy
Hobley, Canadian SAS User Group Program Manager.
The Executive Team is excited to put together a Vancouver SAS User Group newsletter.
The first newsletter was handed out at the last October meeting. We already
got a lot of positive feedback about it. We will continue welcoming your ideas
and contributions to the newsletter. We also would like you to help out to
name our user group and our newsletter. For further details, please contact
any executive team member.
