A picture is worth a thousand words and SAS Color Graphics can help you drive the point home with high resolution color graphs. This Level III course is for SAS users who want to learn the programming skills to develop graphical reports that require more customization or control than is available from point-and-click interfaces such as Enterprise Guide or SAS/ASSIST.
"SAS Color Graphics is unique," says SAS course developer Sue Rakes, "because the graphics procedures in SAS have hundreds of options to control the output. The class covers many of them and teaches students how to investigate the others. It also shows customers how to produce high-resolution color graphics using SAS/GRAPH programming statements."
Co-developer Mike Kalt summarizes the course's content. "Students will leave the class knowing how to use SAS/GRAPH to create highly customized charts, plots and maps. They'll also learn how to export graphics output to other environments and applications such as Web pages and Microsoft Office documents."
As an SAS Training Report subscriber, you can take advantage of an exclusive 50% discount off the price of any currently scheduled U.S. offering of SAS Color Graphics when you register here by April 28. (Please note: The Course Notes discount will not appear at the time of entry but will be reflected on the invoice. This offer is available only by clicking on the above link and will not apply to other registrations or after the April 28 deadline.)
San Jose-based technical training specialist Stacey Syphus first learned SAS while earning her bachelor's degree in math education and master's degree in statistics from Brigham Young University. Once graduated, she performed statistical research for physical therapists at BYU, conducted marketing research at AT&T and, her favorite, analyzed data from the World Championships for the USA men's volleyball team. She also analyzed manufacturing data for Intel and taught JMP classes to its company engineers before joining SAS. She now teaches all Live Web courses related to Enterprise Guide as well as the new Live Web BI Overview course.

The SQL procedure (PROC SQL) is a wonderful tool for summarizing (or aggregating) data. It provides a number of useful summary (or aggregate) functions to help perform calculations, descriptive statistics and other aggregating operations in a SELECT statement or HAVING clause. These functions are designed to summarize information and not display detail about data.
