SAS/ACCESS® Interface to R/3
The SAS/ACCESS Interface to R/3 provides easy access to SAP AG's R/3 data from SAS, enabling you to incorporate and use your SAP data for a variety of interactive and dynamic tasks, including advanced reporting, data analysis, data warehousing and business intelligence.
Via a remote function call (RFC) connection and reporting code embedded in SAP, SAS manages the metadata-driven extraction from R/3. Accessing the data through the R/3 Application Server, the interface makes use of SAP's own users and access rights and is capable of extracting and integrating all data from R/3 (transparent tables, cluster tables, pool tables and hierarchies) into SAS warehouses, data marts and solutions.
With the SAS/ACCESS interface to R/3, your business analysts have access to and can exploit the critical business information housed in R/3 for an open, intelligent decision-making process. This interface:
