The Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and SAS® prepare the innovative thinkers of tomorrow

High-quality education within a comprehensive curriculum that emphasizes both pure and applied statistics lies at the core of the Department of Mathematics at the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). For example, UTM offers classes on multivariate statistical analysis, quality control, time series analysis and operational research. It offers design of experiment courses taught with JMP®, a business division of SAS that develops and markets statistical discovery software to visualize analytics for end users.

"With the help of SAS, students learn ways to enhance data analysis, model building, and optimization in an enterprise environment," says Lee, adding that SAS is also an excellent tool for research activities at the university.
