Deep commitment to innovation

SAS has a 30-year history of heavy investment in R&D. In March 2009, SAS announced another major investment in on-demand IT solutions with the addition of a $70 million computing facility. It will include two 10,000-square-foot server farms for our enterprise hosting, SaaS and cloud computing initiatives. Server Farm 1 is anticipated to be online mid-2010 and support growth for three to five years. In keeping with SAS’ commitment to protect the environment, the facility will be built to Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) standards for water and energy conservation.
