DataFlux® qMDM

Provide a unified view of data assets for more accurate analytics results and enhanced decision making

To increase revenue, it's critical to know who your customers are, what they purchase and how to sell more to them. You also need to know what you're spending on materials across all business units to control costs. Master data management (MDM) is the creation of a single, accurate and unified view of corporate data. DataFlux qMDM allows you to streamline and standardize data, forming a central data repository that enables consistent, uniform control of data across the enterprise.

How SAS® Is Different

  • Built on best-in-class data quality technology. DataFlux qMDM incorporates award-winning data quality capabilities to cleanse, correct, standardize and de-duplicate data before it enters the master data repository. Integrated data quality technology makes it easier to create a master data hub with data that is high quality and fit for purpose.
  • Ability to easily integrate and match data from many different data sources. With the ability to integrate data from multiple sources, DataFlux qMDM can take data from a variety of sources and feed it into the master data repository, maintaining data quality and pushing updated information back into the original data sources.
  • Provides an agile approach to MDM. SAS and DataFlux offer the flexibility to develop a phased approach to implementing MDM on an enterprise scale. You can start with one domain (for example, customers) and over time add other business entities to create a consolidated view of all critical information.
  • Easily integrates with other SAS solutions. Combining the master data management capabilities of DataFlux qMDM with SAS Analytics yields the most accurate business analytics possible. Other MDM products do no not offer a solution that is highly optimized for integration into business analytics.

Benefits

  • Improve revenue generation through more profitable customer relationships and a streamlined supply chain. Linking operational systems provides consolidated customer profile and activity information that enables businesses to identify additional cross-sell, up-sell and product bundling opportunities. More unified data on products, inventory and assets helps companies identify areas to increase efficiencies and reduce costs across the supply chain.
  • Enhance customer support and service. A unified view of customers and other entities enables businesses to optimize all customer interactions, including sales opportunities, customer support, billing and more.
  • Create a sustainable MDM initiative with a phased approach. Start with data quality and data integration, and utilize industry best practices and professional services to create a low-risk approach to MDM implementation. This includes starting MDM projects with DataFlux Master Data Management Foundations (now part of the DataFlux Data Management Platform), which is integrated with SAS Enterprise Data Integration Server.
  • Provide unified, trusted data for use in SAS solutions. DataFlux qMDM augments SAS software by ensuring high-quality reference data that serves as the foundation for business analytics solutions such as SAS Customer Intelligence, SAS Fraud Management, SAS Risk Management and others.
  • Make informed, fact-based decisions using timely data that spans operational applications. Creating a unified view of customers, suppliers, products and other entities allows reliable linking to core operational systems and provides a consolidated view of each entity. This results in more accurate and complete data for use in predictive analytics, which leads to improved, fact-based decision making.
  • Reduce risk by creating and applying a single set of business rules. Unified and consistent data is needed to meet risk objectives. DataFlux qMDM provides governance capabilities necessary for compliance, including validation and integrity controls as well as audit trails and lineage information.
