SAS/STAT Bayesian
Procedures NEW!
SAS/STAT software now provides Bayesian analysis in downloadable, experimental versions of three procedures for SAS 9.1.3
on Windows: GENMOD, LIFEREG, and PHREG. The new BAYES statement in these procedures produces Bayesian modeling and inference
capability in generalized linear models, accelerated life failure models, Cox regression models, and piecewise constant
baseline hazard models (also known as piecewise exponential models). These versions are named BGENMOD, BLIFEREG, and BPHREG,
respectively, and they otherwise contain the full functionality of the original procedures.
Earned Value
Management Macros (Experimental Version 1.0) NEW!
The SAS/OR Earned Value Management macros gauge project performance by comparing planned and actual progress with respect
to the schedule and the costs. The macros start from a baseline of the planned project schedule and costs. When the user
updates the schedule and cost information from the project’s progression, the macros can produce earned value metrics
on both a project-wide basis and a task-by-task level. Both tabular and graphical displays of these metrics can be produced.
PROC QUANTREG
Download
PROC QUANTREG is an experimental procedure that performs quantile regression, which extends the usual ordinary least
squares regression model to conditional quantiles of the response variable, such as the 90th percentile. Quantile regression
is particularly useful when the rate of change in the conditional quantile, expressed by the regression coefficients,
depends on the quantile. Data of this type occur in many fields, including biomedicine, econometrics, and ecology. This
procedure is available for SAS 9.1 on the Windows platform.
PROC GLIMMIX Download
PROC GLIMMIX is a procedure that has the ability to fit generalized linear mixed models. Conditioning on normally
distributed random effects, you can now fit the data to a number of different distributions in the exponential family such
as binomial, Poisson, beta and gamma. This production procedure is available for SAS 9.1 on the Windows platform and several
UNIX platforms (AIX 64-bit, HP/UX 64-bit, Solaris 64-bit, and Linux).
PROC GLMSELECT
Download
The experimental GLMSELECT procedure performs effect selection in the framework of general linear models. A variety of
model selection methods are available, including the LASSO method of Tibshirani (1996) and the related LAR method of Efron
et. al (2004). The procedure offers extensive capabilities for customizing the selection with a wide variety of selection
and stopping criteria, from traditional and computationally efficient significance-level-based criteria to more
computationally intensive validation-based criteria. The procedure also provides graphical summaries of the selection
search. This procedure is available for SAS 9.1 on the Windows platform.
ADX Interface for
Release 6.12
The ADX Interface is a point-and-click interface for the design and analysis of experiments. The Release 6.12 version of
the ADX Interface is production for Windows 95 and Windows NT. The ADX Interface is also available with Version 8 of the SAS
System.
Analyst
Application for Release 6.12
The Analyst Application is a point-and-click interface that provides access to basic statistical analyses. The Release 6.12
version of the Analyst Application is production for Windows 95, Windows NT and Windows 3.1. The current release of the
Analyst Application is available with Version 8 of the SAS System.
MRP
Application
The MRP application reads in data relevant to a multi-stage manufacturing process. From these data it produces a Master
Production Schedule, containing detailed information on the timing and resource usage involved processing the projected
orders for finished goods. You can track capacity utilization, inventories, and individual manufacturing processes, changing
requirements and availabilities and observing the impact on the master schedule.
SAS/IML Workshop
2.1
SAS/IML Workshop
2.0
SAS/IML Workshop is a graphical user interface and extension of SAS/IML software that enables you to explore data
interactively using standard statistical graphics and tables. IML Workshop provides an integrated development environment
for writing, debugging, and executing IML programs. IML Workshop also implements the IMLPlus programming language, which is
an enhanced version of the IML programming language. IMLPlus provides new language features such as the ability to call SAS
procedures and external C/Fortran/Java functions. IML Workshop requires a PC running the Microsoft Windows operating system.
Network
Visualization (NV) Workshop
The Network Visualization Workshop is an interactive, graphics-oriented tool for investigating network or graph data.
Network data consists of a collection of nodes and a series of links between the nodes. Both nodes and links typically have
data values associated with them representing the details of their particular application. Using a combination of data
tables, statistical plots, and network plots, the user can selectively explore and filter data observations to help uncover
patterns and relationships hidden in the network data.
