As the next generation of SAS users emerges, it's a good time to examine the extensive array of procedures, programming tools, approaches and techniques honed by current and prior generations of users.
In particular, we'll identify two topics that are hot today (and which aren't so hot) in the world of professional SAS users.
This webinar covers:
- A discussion of SAS® Enterprise Guide® aimed at end users with little or no programming experience. We'll cover the point-and-click, front-end application while learning the benefits from a programmer's perspective.
- An overview of hash techniques – "fast" table lookups, merges and joins – for programmers who aren't afraid of data constructs and who haven't yet used hash objects.
Kirk Paul Lafler, consultant and founder of Software Intelligence Corporation, has been a SAS user since 1979. He received his BS and MS degrees from the University of Miami.
As a SAS Certified Professional, Lafler provides IT consulting services and training to SAS users around the world. He's the author of several books, including PROC SQL: Beyond the Basics Using SAS, Second Edition (2013), PROC SQL: Beyond the Basics Using SAS (2004), Power AOL and Power SAS, as well as more than 500 papers and articles. He's also received nearly two dozen "best" contributed paper, hands-on workshop (HOW) and poster awards.
