Karen Knowles

As General Manager of SAS Federal, Karen Knowles leads a high-performing, $70 million business that helps civilian, defense and intelligence agencies across the U.S. spend taxpayer dollars effectively to achieve missions and goals – all using the power of SAS analytics. Full bio
In her role as General Manager, Knowles oversees a division of sales, business development and technical professionals dedicated to delivering solutions tailored to meet various business and mission issues facing the federal government. Specific areas of focus are: supply chain and logistics optimization, fighting fraud waste and improper payments, improving financial transparency and improving the performance and accountability needs of today's government leaders.
An 18-year software sales veteran, Knowles began her career in sales support, quickly moving into federal sales leadership roles at international software companies, including Crystal Decisions, Business Objects and DuPont.
Knowles holds a bachelor's of science from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

Dwayne Robinson is the President and Chief Executive Officer for Vision Systems & Technology, Inc. (VSTI). Mr. Robinson founded the company in September of 1997 and is responsible for the leadership and overall strategic vision of the firm today. Mr. Robinson's desire in 1997 to build an ethical team of talented professionals who are focused on quality and committed to delivering innovation to customers, is realized today in VSTI. Full bio
Together with a team of talented individuals, Mr. Robinson is working to provide high-quality solutions that support the needs of the U.S. Federal Intelligence Community. Mr. Robinson's commitment to customers is matched only by his commitment to build a dynamic learning organization that promotes personal growth and the ongoing professional development of VSTI employees through continuous learning and enlightenment.
Prior to forming VSTI, Mr. Robinson learned the business of the defense contracting industry as an employee of IBM, the National Security Agency (NSA), and Booz Allen & Hamilton beginning in 1986.
Accolades that Mr. Robinson is most proud of include his firms' recognition in 2004 and 2005 as a Washington Technology Fast50 company, a nomination in 2005 by Black Enterprise magazine for "Emerging Company of the Year," and recognition as a "Smart100 CEO" by Smart CEO magazine in 2009.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Mr. Robinson graduated from Long Island University and attended graduate school at Bowie State University. He received a BS degree in computer science, a MS degree in the management of information systems and is currently pursuing a doctorate in Organizational Leadership. Short bio
Bryan Harris
Chief Technology Officer

Bryan Harris joined VSTI in 2001 and brings more than 13 years of technical and executive expertise spanning both electrical and computer engineering. As CTO, Mr. Harris is responsible for driving and aligning VSTI's technical vision and capabilities with engineering best practices to deliver innovative and cost effective solutions to customers. Mr. Harris leads a team of technologists and subject matter experts who identify critical and unique challenges in the intelligence community and develop advanced analytic solutions through a combination of open source, commercial, and custom developed software. Mr. Harris directs ongoing research and development of service oriented architectures in the areas of knowledge management, large scale search, information extraction/semantic analysis, and high speed intelligence value estimation (IVE). This research has resulted in VSTI pioneering the development of operational real-time alerting and analysis solutions for intelligence analysts worldwide using stream processing technologies, embedded analytics, and next generation search architectures.
