Modernize and Grow

SAS and HP are working together to ensure that our joint customers gain the greatest user experience and return on investment by sharing the latest innovations from both organizations. The benefits of modernization include:

Vertica

A purpose-built data warehouse from HP that is designed specifically to support analytics:

  • Increases speed of SAS processing through a massively parallel architecture which allows data loading and query to occur simultaneously.
  • Reduces the need for data storage by utilizing column-orientation and data compression.

Joint Engineering

HP provides engineering resources (people and products) to support joint efforts including:

  • Ongoing, proactive exchange around product roadmaps to support the development of new products and enhancements to existing products.
  • Benchmarking and the creation of white papers, solution briefs and other reference materials to help customers understand how to best leverage SAS and HP capabilities.
  • Sizing and Architecture reviews to assist our joint customers to accurately deploy the correct HP footprint to support their SAS environment.
