SAS strengthens UK sales management with three key appointments
13 March 2012 - SAS, the leader in business analytics software and services, has strengthened its UK sales team with the appointment of three senior sales professionals. The company has announced the promotions of John McKee to SAS UK and Ireland sales director, Charles Senabulya to the position of sales director, financial services for SAS UK, and Mark Kenyon to the position of commercial sales director.
Reporting to acting UK and Ireland vice president Jost Dörken, McKee brings more than 30 years of sales experience to the role. Since joining SAS in 2009, McKee has held positions as sales manager and most recently sales director for financial services at SAS UK and Ireland. As SAS UK and Ireland sales director, McKee now assumes overall responsibility for the strategic direction and leadership of the SAS sales teams across financial services, commercial and public sector markets.
Charles Senabulya moves into the newly vacated role of sales director for Financial Services reporting into John McKee. Senabuyla joined SAS in 2010 as sales manager for banking and insurance from IBM where he was the Director of IBM SWG Sub-Saharan Africa. A highly experienced software sales professional, Senabulya is tasked with maintaining SAS' strong growth in the financial services sector, specifically around SAS' high performance analytics product offering, helping organisations to make sense of big data.
Mark Kenyon has joined SAS UK from SAP where he held the position of public sector director SAP UK and Ireland. Previously Kenyon was at IBM where he was general manager of Lotus development and the information management business for its software division, as well as chair of the sales professional board. Kenyon has a wealth of experience leading successful deals with major retail and consumer packaged goods companies.
Commenting on the appointments, Jost Dörken highlighted the contribution of both McKee and Senabuyla to the success of the financial services business in recent years, and the role Kenyon will have in driving forward the commercial business: "SAS has enjoyed record growth in sales in the financial services sector thanks to the efforts of the teams led by John and Charles.
