SAS To Host CDISC Day at SAS UK, Marlow

06 June 2006 -  SAS, the leader in business intelligence, will host a CDISC day at SAS UK's Marlow office on 6th July, 2006. CDISC- the Clinical Data Interchange Standards Consortium is the definitive independent medical and biopharmaceutical standards organisation. The event is being organised by the CDISC Committee to provide an introduction to CDISC.

The following topics will be covered: A CDISC technical overview, BRIDG, The clinical Trail Protocol, The Lab Model, Study Data Tabulation Model, Analysis Data Model, Supporting CDISC Data Models and the future of CDISC. The meeting will conclude with a panel discussion chaired by Becky Kush (President CDISC), Mark Wheedon (Formedix), Dave Iberson-Hurst (Assero), Diane Wold (GSK) and Barry Burnstead (Phase Forward).

CDISC-2006 Chair elect, chief life sciences and regulatory strategist for SAS, Dr Ed Helton, stated the following regarding the event: "SAS has supported CDISC for many years, acting as corporate sponsor, participating in advisory groups and creating technology that facilitates the adoption of CDISC standards by the Life Sciences industry. My role is an interesting one, I am committed to the industry and am keen to progress with these much needed standards."
