SAS awarded Gold Standard Accreditation by the IITT for the 7th year in succession15 February 2011 - SAS®, the leader in business analytics software and services, today announced that its Education Programme has been awarded the IITT Gold Standard Accreditation for IT training for the seventh consecutive year. The IITT is a global Institute for Learning & Development professionals that focuses on enhancing, recognising and assessing the skills and professional status of individuals and organisations engaged in learning activities. The Institute's prestigious award of Gold Standard Accreditation (GSA) is the definitive mark of quality in the Learning & Development industry. The SAS Education Programme has been recognised for delivering comprehensive, state-of-the-art training around SAS technology and solutions. SAS' varied, objective-specific programme, offers public and customised courses aimed at providing SAS users with the knowledge and confidence they need to fully utilise the software for business benefit. Continuous learning is supported via the SAS Professionals social network. By joining, SAS users are able to network with their course leader and other SAS professionals, learn about the latest SAS technologies and solutions, and benefit from special offers and events. All SAS Education is delivered by accredited members of the IITT, a merit required in order to adhere to GSA standards. "This is a fantastic achievement. I am extremely proud of our sustained high level of performance over the past seven years." said Kevin Meachen, Director of Professional Services, SAS UK. "We always strive to offer exceptional and consistent standards of training aimed at helping our customers make better business decisions. This acknowledgment demonstrates we are achieving this goal, as do the countless positive evaluations from our course participants. In fact, during the last seven years, well over 25,000 SAS professionals have developed their business analytics knowledge and skills through participation in formal SAS training." "Accredited status gives us enhanced recognition and differentiation in our ever-competitive industry. As the IITT will be continually monitoring our work, we have a great incentive to continue improving and extending the services and training to our customers. SAS has continually demonstrated its commitment to education, learning and development during its 35 years. We will continue to innovate and find new ways to share knowledge and insights, such as the SAS Expert Channel."
