SAS have been selected as one of LSC Group's technology partners in the development of a Lean Logistics Model (LLM) Proof of Concept for the UK Ministry of Defence. SAS Business Intelligence and Analytic Intelligence tools are used to deliver value from the vast range of legacy data sources drawn together within the LSC developed, Product Life Cycle Support (PLCS) compliant, Integrated Data Repository. PLCS is a neutral, open data standard (ISO 10303) that enables the wide range of system and equipment legacy data that is currently held in a diverse range of databases to be accessed by users through a single interface, thus removing the need for dedicated viewers for each data set.
