SAS - The Power to Know

Find Answers on our new improved SAS Support website.

We renamed the Technical Support area of http://support.sas.com and gave it a tighter focus. The new SUPPORT page focuses on directing you to the easiest path for the assistance you need. Many of the features on the old Technical Support page and some of the most frequently sought site features are available directly from the support.sas.com Home page.

There are applications here to help you Open a problem track with our Technical Support Division, add information to a track, or View the status of existing tracks. There is also a new content area specifically designed to assist you with any difficulty you might have with Software licensing. We have also started the process to combine all software downloads into one area. You can start your download process from the Downloads & Hot Fixes page.

Administrator Services are now part of the Support area. This administrator area still provides tools for managing your accounts and your installation data. There are also tools for the SAS Representative at your site.

The new focus for the SUPPORT section of the site should help you find the right kind of help for any problem you might encounter with SAS Software.

Some of the answers are not new, but we have also organized them into a central KNOWLEDGE BASE. Here System requirements, Installation and Administration instructions, and Product documentation are just keystrokes away. Discover our new central repository for Technical papers contributed by SAS Technical Support, Research and Development, and SAS customers.

Find the most significant changes in the Samples & SAS Notes section of the KNOWLEDGE BASE. We combined content from our problem and usage notes collection with samples and frequently asked questions into a unified database. A new topic based browse hierarchy guides you to the content you are interested in. Enhancements to the search capabilities enable filtering of search results so you can limit results to content specifically applies the product, product release, and content types you are interested in. Check out the new search and browse capabilities.

Also in the KNOWLEDGE BASE find Focus Areas (the content formerly known as Communities). R&D staff develops content focus areas to highlight new features and usage tips. Focus areas include the SAS Output Delivery System (ODS), Data Visualization, Statistics and Operations Research. Be sure to check out the overhauled Base SAS focus area.
