19 April 2012 - Former CEO of Tesco PLC, Sir Terry Leahy, will keynote at SAS' Premier Business Leadership Series (PBLS) event in Amsterdam on the 8-9th May. His presentation will give insight into his nine lessons for successful retail management including the belief that data is priceless for retailers, and how analytics played a role in helping transform Tesco from a downmarket domestic food retailer into a global player.
As one of the most admired business leaders in the world, Leahy was knighted in 2002 for his services to food retailing. On Wednesday 9th May at 11.50am he will present 'Leadership, Analytics and the Customer' which will explain how retailers can transform their processes and better understand their business, customers and goals by, among other things, harnessing data analytics. Leahy will discuss his top lessons for management including the importance of understanding the customer and acknowledging competition when leading a flagship business from the front.
