Description
This course is designed for data modellers and system experts who want to understand, create and exploit Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) using SAS. It defines SAS OLAP cubes, explores their characteristics and demonstrates how to create and exploit OLAP cubes using a variety of SAS products; SAS OLAP Cube Studio, SAS Enterprise Guide, Microsoft Excel with the SAS OLAP Data Provider and the SAS Information Delivery Portal.
Prerequisites
Familiarity with SAS programming and table structures is helpful but not required. You can gain SAS knowledge by completing the SAS® Essentials: An Introduction to SAS Programming course. Familiarity with Structured Query Language (SQL) or Multidimensional eXpressions (MDX) is also helpful, but not required.
