What's New in SAS®9.2 - Basic Statistics

Description

This session is one of a series of short Live Web classes exploring new features and functionality within SAS®9.2 software. This course shows new features for performing basic statistics, t-tests, ANOVA, and linear regression.

Prerequisites

Before attending this course, you should:

  • be familiar with content in the Statistics I: Introduction to ANOVA, Regression, and Logistic Regression course. Although completion of that course is not necessary, understanding of the statistical and SAS content taught in that course is needed.
  • be familiar with SAS procedure syntax.
  • understand confidence intervals.
  • understand hypothesis testing and p-values.
  • be familiar with ANOVA, including post-hoc pairwise tests.
  • be familiar with linear regression.

This course addresses SAS/STAT, SAS/GRAPH.

Base SAS Statistical Procedures

  • introduction to ODS Statistical Graphics
  • new options in PROC UNIVARIATE

T-Tests and Analysis of Variance

  • new options in PROC TTEST
  • ANOVA
  • ANOVA Post Hoc tests
  • ANOVA with interactions

Linear Regression Analysis

  • correlation
  • regression analysis and the REG Procedure
  • model building in the REG Procedure
  • regression diagnostics

Objectives

After attending this live web session you will be able to:

  • generate ODS graphics in PROC UNIVARIATE (Experimental), PROC TTEST, PROC GLM, and PROC REG
  • use the new PPPLOT option in PROC UNIVARIATE
  • perform TOST equivalence tests in PROC TTEST
  • create plots to explain SAS residuals and model fit tables
