SAS UK named one of the Best Companies to Work For by The Sunday Times
SAS UK has received high honours from The Sunday Times Top 100 Best Companies to Work for 2011. This is the fifth time that SAS has made The Sunday Times list, and highlights the focus that the company places on its employees and ensuring the best possible working environment. SAS came in at number 65 in the Best Companies to Work for 2011 - an improvement of 26 places compared to the 2010 ranking of 91. The achievement is based on the survey opinions of 226,000 employees of companies across the UK who entered the award programme.

This is also the second year in a row that SAS has received a 'First Class Company' rating from the Best Companies. This is in line with 256 other UK companies. The information gathered for the star classifications comes from the ratings of 290,000 employees of companies nationwide.

SAS UK receives Silver accreditation from Investors in People
Following the 2011 assessment from Investors in People, the UK organisation has received Silver accreditation. This is the first year that Investors in People has applied different levels of accreditation and the assessment involved an external body interviewing people from across the UK organisation at all levels applying the relevant parts of their framework. The purpose of the assessment was to establish whether the vision, strategies and goals were understood, shared and being implement by employees.

To retain the "Standard" level of accreditation SAS UK, held since 2007, 39 set evidence requirements needed to be met. For the Silver accreditation, 115 set evidence requirements are needed.

SAS awarded Gold Standard Accreditation by the IITT for the 7th year in succession
SAS UK's Education Programme has been awarded the IITT Gold Standard Accreditation for IT training for the seventh consecutive year.

The IITT is a global Institute for Learning & Development professionals that focuses on enhancing, recognising and assessing the skills and professional status of individuals and organisations engaged in learning activities. The Institute's prestigious award of Gold Standard Accreditation (GSA) is the definitive mark of quality in the Learning & Development industry.

  2010

SAS UK wins The Prince's Trust award for outstanding contribution to charity
SAS UK has been awarded the "David Haye" award by the The Prince's Trust Technology Leadership Group for its contribution to the youth charity. The award recognises the company's fund-raising efforts.

SAS UK was commended for raising £14,000 for the Palace to Palace cycle ride, outstripping its original target by £9,000, and the £2,000 the company has raised so far for employee teams participating in two challenges to Costa Rica and the Himalayas.

  2008

ISO9001:2008 is an international standard that sets out the requirements for a Quality Management System (QMS) that needs to demonstrate that the product, or service, consistently meets the customer's requirements and continually improves. To maintain customer confidence, and to ensure that our QMS is effectiveness, SAS Marlow is certified to ISO9001:2008.

  2005

ISO27001:2005 is an international standard that sets out the requirements for an Information Security Management System (ISMS). The standard is designed to ensure the selection of adequate and proportionate security controls that protect information assets and give confidence to our customers. To demonstrate to our customers that we have an effective ISMS in place we are certified to ISO27001:2005.
