Software for Teaching
The needs of universities vary according to the proposed use of SAS. Please contact SAS to discuss the most appropriate way to license our software for your needs. Briefly, the options are:
-
Eduserv/Chest Licensing: for UK and Ireland universities ONLY
SAS is trying to make it as easy as possible for academic and research institutions to licence the software at greatly reduced rates. In fact, SAS is now cheaper than SPSS for universities to licence.
The SAS/Chest licence agreement has created a flexible licensing structure for universities as it enables licensing by department, faculty and campus. Also, a distinction is made between use of the software for Teaching and Research, or for Research only.

Individual Copies of SAS®
Individual academics and students can license their own copy of SAS at a special Education discount where a Chest licence is not appropriate.
