10th annual conference features MIT blackjack legend Jeffrey Ma, showcases customer successes and data management industry trends

CARY, NC  (11 juli 2012)  – Registration is open for the International Data Event and Symposium (IDEAS) 2012, the 10th annual DataFlux data management technology and industry user conference. Taking place Oct. 8-10 at the Aria Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, IDEAS 2012 will feature hands-on training, presentations from industry experts and success stories from practitioners on data quality, data integration, master data management (MDM) and data governance.

Jeffrey Ma, member of MIT's famous blackjack team and creator of an ingenious method for counting cards, will deliver this year's keynote, "The $100,000 Lesson: Business Lessons from the World of Blackjack." IDEAS 2012 is about making big moves and strategizing big wins. Ma will describe how the power of numbers can help organizations make better business decisions.

SAS executives will join DataFlux experts to unveil the technology strategy for 2012 and discuss how DataFlux® technology fits within the larger SAS® Information Management framework to add value to corporate information. Sessions led by users of DataFlux technology will showcase real-world data management successes.

Hands-On Training and 10th Anniversary Celebration

Monday, Oct. 8, will feature a full day of pre-conference training for DataFlux users and data management professionals. Eight courses spread over four training tracks will provide both business and IT executives with best practices and considerations for data management and big data governance. Evening events will include a dinner celebrating the 10th anniversary of the IDEAS conference.
