SAS one of the World's Best Workplaces
Great Place to Work Institute's new global ranking lists SAS at No. 2
CARY, NC (27. Okt. 2011) – SAS secured the No. 2 spot on the elite "Top 25 World's Best Multinational Workplaces" inaugural list from Great Place to Work®. SAS, the leader in business analytics software and services, was highlighted among the best for health care, child care and work-life balance.
SAS CEO Jim Goodnight said, "While we are delighted to receive this recognition, as a business leader I am most honored to know that the ranking is based on the feedback of our own employees around the world. We simply try to trust and respect people. Everything we do grows out of that philosophy. The real reward is what employees give back to the company and our customers."
SAS is recognized worldwide by Great Place to Work. SAS corporate headquarters in the United States and SAS Norway were both No. 1 on their country lists of Best Companies to Work For in 2010 and 2011. In 2011, SAS Australia, SAS Belgium, SAS Brazil, SAS Canada, SAS Finland, SAS France, SAS Germany, SAS India, SAS Italy, SAS Korea, SAS Mexico, SAS Netherlands, SAS Portugal and SAS Sweden were among the top workplaces.
"This list recognizes global companies that have demonstrated a truly serious commitment to creating workplaces that foster trust, pride and camaraderie amongst their employees," said José Tolovi Jr., Global CEO of Great Place to Work. "Each and every one of the companies on this inaugural ranking should be proud of this noteworthy accomplishment. Based on this survey, we can say, without a doubt, that these 25 companies are the best workplaces in the world."
To be eligible, companies must appear on five or more national Great Place to Work lists in the past year and have more than 5,000 employees worldwide, with at least 40 percent working outside the company's home country. Companies on the World's Best Multinational Workplaces list are rated by their employees to be among the best companies, and have excellent HR policies and practices that support a culture of trust.
Great Place to Work launched the first Best Companies to Work For® lists with Fortune magazine in the United States and Exame in Brazil in 1997. The organization now recognizes leading workplaces in some 45 countries.
