Australian government agency picks SAS® Visual Analytics to advance decision making
DEEWR joins other departments deploying SAS® data visualization to find insight quickly, simply
CARY, NC (10. Okt. 2013) – The Australian Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) selected SAS® Visual Analytics to provide self-service data discovery and exploration, and arm DEEWR leaders with more flexible and accessible reporting.
"SAS Visual Analytics will help us uncover trends and relationships by offering greater insight and exploration into the vast amount of data we hold," said Susan Monkley, Chief Information Officer at DEEWR. "We expect that SAS' simple, visual environment and quick response times will have a significant positive impact on DEEWR policy development."
In May, another Australian government agency, the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW) implemented SAS Visual analytics to inform policy decisions on health, welfare and community services.
"Providing improved data insights is crucial at all levels in the government for strategic management and efficiency," added David Bowie, Managing Director of SAS Australia and New Zealand. "Government departments have to deal with large volumes of data, often located in disparate silos. Using SAS Visual Analytics, government teams can access data regardless of location and platform."
SAS Visual Analytics, an in-memory solution for exploring any amount of data very quickly, reads data into memory for fast processing and data visualization. Users can explore all data, execute analytic correlations on billions of rows of data in just minutes or seconds, and visually present results via Web reports or iPad® and Android tablets. They can then quickly identify patterns, trends and relationships in data that are not apparent before being graphically displayed.
Since the best way to understand the value of SAS Visual Analytics is by experiencing it firsthand, SAS has created an online environment for customers to try the software. Please visit the new interactive SAS Visual Analytics demo.
