Hospital chooses SAS® to transform research
NHS Foundation Trust to build single view of patient and deliver more personalized care
CARY, NC (28. maj 2013) – Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Foundation Trust has chosen SAS, the leader in business analytics, to transform how it manages and delivers research through big data visualization. Information will be used from all its clinical and non-clinical systems to build a single view of the patient from which it can then apply SAS analytic techniques.
The ground-breaking deal – the first time SAS has worked with a UK hospital trust – should ultimately drive better clinical outcomes and build an enterprise information layer that transforms how the hospitals deliver patient-centered care.

Royal Brompton & Harefield will initially use SAS Visual Analytics to give quick insight into research problems that can then be more fully explored on the SAS platform. The trust will then look to move some of its operational reporting into Visual Analytics and, in the longer-term, the solution will be seen as the mechanism by which clinicians and management collaborate and share insight across the business of the hospital.
