Dr Lynn Drennan PhD FCII FIRM
Dr Lynn Drennan is Chief Executive of ALARM, a UK-based membership organisation whose primary purpose is to assist, advise and represent professional practitioners in public service organisations, who are engaged in the promotion, development and delivery of integrated risk management.
Before she took up her current post in 2006, Dr Drennan spent 19 years as an academic in Glasgow Caledonian University, holding the posts of Head of the Division of Risk in the Business School, and Executive Director of the Cullen Centre for Risk and Governance. She has a BA degree in Sociology and Psychology from the University of Strathclyde, a PhD from the University of Glasgow, and is a Fellow of both the Chartered Insurance Institute and the Institute of Risk Management.
Dr Drennan is a frequent presenter at national and international risk management conferences, and has been a member of the judging panels for a number of risk management awards. She is co-author of two risk management books, entitled Reputational Risk: a question of trust (Atkins, Bates and Drennan, 2006) and Risk and Crisis Management in the Public Sector (Drennan and McConnell, 2007).
