Training Needs Analysis

The Training Needs Analysis should be the first phase in every training cycle.

Without a thorough understanding of the training needs of the customer and the goals that he would like to reach, the success of the training is put at risk. Therefore, the only way to guarantee a successful training is to define a training program that allows filling the gap between what one masters now; and what one needs to master to perform well in the future.

A sound assessment provides us with all information needed to define an adequate and specific training curriculum: contents and duration of the different courses are related not only to the objectives of the project, but also to the experience and background of the different users.

In close collaboration with your team, the training is tuned to the business and project context, to the different user profiles and skill levels.

Training Formats

Classroom training

Public Training

The standard training curriculum is organized in the SAS training facility in Tervuren. Consult the online calendar.
This training formula creates the opportunity to share experiences with your peers from other organizations. Link this to the input of the trainer and you’ll find that all public courses have a tailored approach.
The courses are taught in English. The course material is provided in English as well.
All courses are taught by certified SAS instructors or business experts.
During a hands-on training all participants dispose of a pc to experiment and make exercises.
SAS Learning Plus
Up to 90 days after the training, our instructors are at your service to provide a clear answer to all questions related to your course. Feel free to contact them by e-mail.
For most of the standard courses, SAS developed a self-study training. After the training and on a simple e-mail request, you will receive a key to the corresponding e-learning module.

Courses on demand
The SAS Customer Training Team is committed to organize any “on demand” session as soon as sufficient registrations are on the waiting list. Unlikely company-specific training sessions, this course will be accessible to other customers. Furthermore, this format is fully comparable to the Public Training courses.

Company-specific training

These training sessions are organized on the date and the location of your choice.
The training contents can be customized to match the foreknowledge and the specific needs of your employees: we give advice on the duration and contents of the training. And we can take it a step further: total customization, including cases / exercises on your data is possible.
We teach in Dutch, French or English. Note that all training material will be provided in English.

License dynamic computer-based SAS training for enterprise-wide access.
SAS OnlineTutor is self-paced training for basic to advanced programmers that is:
- Installed on individual workstations or on a network
- SCORM conformant - for Learning Management Systems and 508 compliant to meet the requirements of users with disabilities

Quality Assured

Certification

All SAS teachers are holders of a valid SAS Certificate gained during a certification exam. These exams verify objectively and in a standard way if the teacher has an in-depth knowledge of the SAS system and SAS-tools.

Accrediation

To check the pedagogical skills on a regular basis, SAS has set up an internal quality control with clear guidelines. This procedure guarantees that SAS teachers explain the material step by step with the adequate attention for every individual.

Customer Satisfaction

An external audit during the summer of 2005 demonstrated and confirmed the well organized and structured course offering of SAS. All elements of training were put under the microscope: registration process, the training itself, evaluation system, invoicing and aftercare.

The audit resulted in a quality label as officially certified training center in the context of a training voucher program supported by the Flemish government.

As a consequence, the Flemish Government sponsors SAS Training!
BEA, “Budget voor Economisch Advies”, is an initiative of the Flemish Government. It is a subsidy measure that supports companies financially when organizing training (amongst other services). Training Centers that clearly demonstrate quality and customer satisfaction become recognition. This gives an advantage of 30% on the net amount of the training invoice!
