    CV Vooruit is a cooperative network of pharmacies in and around Gent responsible for supplier relations, intermediate warehousing, and making sure the 36 individual pharmacies have the right products on hand, at the right time. Using a SAS solution for Inventory Optimization, techniques such as time series forecasting and operations research are integrated with sector-driven business intelligence to help CC Vooruit manage the challenge of improving the product availability for more than 8.000 products - each with different demand patterns - while reducing significantly the inventory costs.
