4 Customers receive SAS Intelligence Awards

SAS awards for Business Intelligence, Business Analytics and Business Solutions

Tervuren. (Oct 16, 2006) – During SAS Forum Belgium & Luxembourg, SAS’ annual Business Intelligence Conference that took place on Thursday 12 October in the Aula Magna in Louvain-la-Neuve SAS awarded 4 customers for their strategic and innovative projects realised with SAS solutions. The awards were granted for SAS Business Solutions, SAS Business Analytics and SAS Enterprise Business Intelligence.

SAS Enterprise Business Intelligence Award 2006:

1. Record Bank, SAS® Enterprise Intelligence Platform & SAS® Risk Dimensions

2. RSVZ-INASTI, SAS Enterprise Intelligence Platform & SAS® Strategic Performance Management

Record Bank receives this award for their use of THE SAS Enterprise Intelligence Platform & Risk Dimensions to manage their Asset Liability Risks in the challenging environment that was the result of 4 mergers in as much years.

These subsequent mergers resulted in an urgent need to implement a stable, more efficient tool to measure and manage the Asset Liability risk within the bank. Record Bank’s data warehouse already was a successful SAS realization and SAS Risk Dimensions provided the best answers to Record Bank’s Asset Liability Management demands:

Crédit Agricole was looking for a “group policy” for compliance matters and decided in 2005 to put in place an anti-money laundering tool that could answer the different needs and expectations of the different companies in the group. Banking transactions and credits are the main activity of Crédit Agricole and Europabank, both having a network of agencies, where Keytrade Bank focuses more on stock exchange transactions via Internet, without agencies and with a limited number of banking transactions.

After the evaluation of in-house development and different tools on the market, they choose to use the strong analytics in SAS® Anti-Money Laundering for its performance, for the availability of a local qualified team and for its competitive price.

SAS Business Solutions Award

FOD Justitie – SPF Justice, SAS® Financial Management

FOD Justitie – SPF Justice is the first public service in Belgium that choose to use SAS® Financial Management to optimize budget management and to help them find the funds for new initiatives.

With the implementation of the SAS Financial Management environment, they can permanently monitor budget preparation and execution and control the cycles to shift budgets when needed and keep track of all changes to the budget over time. SAS delivers them dynamic reports, graphical reports and Key Performance Indicators on the fly. It allows them to slice and dice the way needed according to the dimensions implemented like cost type, credit type, geographical area, initiative, objective, budget item, budget holder, etc.
The users get all relevant financial reports and related information on a need-to-know basis via the SAS Portal.
