Additional marketing analytics strength for SAS Australia & New Zealand

Assetlink Australia's established marketing and business analytics team to join local SAS group

SYDNEY, Australia  (28 Feb 2011)  – Following the announcement by business analytics market leader SAS that it is acquiring Assetlink, see --- http://www.sas.com/news/preleases/imm-acq.html --- SAS Australia and New Zealand will welcome Assetlink's Melbourne-based team for this region into the local organisation.

Des Viranna – SAS Australia and New Zealand general manager for Customer Intelligence – explained that the two organisations have been very effectively cooperating locally for the past two years and that – together with its valuable marketing expertise –  the incoming Assetlink team would bring a collective additional 20 years’ of advanced business analytics and BI experience to SAS.

On closure of the acquisition, Assetlink's Australian employees will join SAS Australia and New Zealand's already rapidly expanding Marketing and Customer Intelligence operations. (In announcing record results for SAS' local operations last month, Gordon Clubb – SAS Australia and New Zealand managing director – described "solid growth" in the services part of the business.)
