SAS promotes Gordon Clubb to regional directorshipSYDNEY, Australia (10 May 2011) – SAS has announced the appointment of Gordon Clubb as regional director of SAS South East Asia, a newly created group within the company's worldwide structure. He also remains managing director of SAS Australia and New Zealand – his position on joining SAS in 2000 – and will continue to be based in Sydney. SAS is the leader in business analytics software and services, and the largest independent vendor in the business intelligence market. Announcing the creation of the new region and Gordon Clubb's appointment, Mikael Hagstrom, executive vice president, EMEA and Asia Pacific, said, "A regionalised approach provides us with the ability to work across borders and structures to better meet our customers' needs for highly specialised skills and experience". Before joining SAS in 2000 Gordon Clubb led organisational change programs at Xerox Corporation – where he was a member of that company's Global Business Futures Network – and at Vodafone, as part of its the Global Growth Strategy Team. He was a founding member and director of the Australian Sales Institute and is a member of the National Institute of Accountants, Australian Institute of Marketing and Australian Institute of Company Directors.
