Already strongly SAS-qualified, e.sens – a business unit of UXC Performance Management – adds significant muscle to SAS Australia’s push into the wider market
Sydney (February 11, 2008) – SAS, the leader in Business Intelligence and e.sens –
a business unit of ASX-listed UXC Limited – have jointly announced a new alliance under which e.sens becomes a
reseller dedicated to SAS solutions in the Australian market. This new relationship follows e.sens having previously
established itself as a SAS Consulting Partner in 2006.
Neil Currie, e.sens chief executive officer, said his unit will address what he regards as the largely untapped mid and
lower end of the market for business intelligence implementations and that newly won customers will benefit from e.sens not
being distracted by allegiances to any products other than those offered by SAS.
e.sens currently employs 15 SAS specialists and has been actively recruiting a further five, including sales positions,
to start this month. The team will operate Australia-wide, working alongside SAS personnel, out of SAS and UXC offices.
In welcoming the new relationship, Janice Willemsen, SAS Australia’s Alliances & Channels director, said, “Joining forces
with e-sens in this way enables us to significantly extend our SAS Sales footprint. The additional resources and expertise
which e.sens brings to bear will win us new-name SAS customers in the SMB sector we have not traditionally addressed and
also help us increase our revenues earned through the channel.”
She also noted that the relationship would gain strong additional benefit from Neil Currie’s personal experience of
having earlier worked for SAS in Europe.
