KMWorld magazine
has named SAS, the leader in business intelligence, among 100 Companies that Matter in
Knowledge Management. The list – compiled by KMWorld editorial staff and writers, knowledge
management practitioners, theorists, analysts, and vendors and their customers – identifies
visionary companies that are making a difference in knowledge management.
According to KMWorld, there were slightly more than 1,500 companies under the umbrella of
knowledge management in 2006. Knowledge management is defined as a range of practices used
by organizations to identify, create, represent and distribute information for reuse,
