Paul Franks, General Manager - Financial Services and Risk, SAS Australia and New Zealand.
In his current role, Paul Franks advises SAS financial services and risk management customers on solutions to complex business issues covering finance, risk management, customers and markets, distribution, business intelligence, data management. He is responsible for ensuring that SAS Australian and New Zealand customers are able to access the global and regional resources and capabilities of SAS for solving their business issues and engaging with senior executives on their business intelligence and business analytics strategies and initiatives. He has over 25 years of commercial and professional experience in professional services advisory and consulting and operational roles in wealth management distribution, corporate strategy, reorganisation and corporate recovery, process design and implementation, governance, risk management and compliance. As a former partner at Deloitte and senior executive at Ernst & Young he was responsible for providing advisory services to major ASX Top 50 companies in financial services on business processes, risk management, management and operational reporting, information technology and governance, specialist assurance and compliance. He has extensive experience in serving and working across the banking, insurance, securities, wealth management and real estate investment trust sectors. Paul has also written several articles on risk management and spoken on television and radio on key operational issues within general insurance and wealth management. He has a strong interest in performance management and reporting using value chain analyses and lead indicators of customer behaviour and financial outcomes. Paul is a qualified chartered account and holds a Bachelor of Commerce. He also has post-graduate qualifications in finance and information technology and is a certified finance and treasury professional. |
