EVAN STUBBS – SOLUTIONS MANAGER, ANALYTICS
SAS Australia & New Zealand

SAS Institute Australia appointed Evan Stubbs in the role of Solutions Manager, Analytics, for Australia and New Zealand in January 2007.

He is based at the company’s Melbourne office and is the region’s new analytics specialist – charged with consulting to SAS customers and channel partners and lending his specialised expertise to the company’s ongoing pre-sales and major accounts development activities.

The SAS Institute is Evan Stubbs’ first vendor employer in the pure information technology field, his having previously been with General Motors’ Holden Innovation division, Deloitte Consulting and KPMG Consulting.

His skill areas include; Process Mapping and Re-engineering; Qualitative and Quantitative Modelling; Forecasting; Operational and Microeconomic Analysis; Market and Consumer Research and Analysis; Technical Architecture Design; and Strategy Design.

In his role immediately before joining SAS he was a key player on Holden’s Innovation team, having developed product concept and related marketing plans designed to yield revenues in excess of $5 billion over the product life cycle.

This project covered market analysis, long-term predictive modelling, psychographic profiling, product specification definition, designing and developing embedded technology systems, communications protocol design, and web and desktop application development.

The workload involved included managing the analysis of large volumes of structured and unstructured information to identify latent demand for game changing, as-yet undeveloped products and model the financial viability of those products.

Evan Stubbs earned his B.Bus (Hons.Economics) at the Queensland University of Technology and is a member of the Institute of Analytics Professionals of Australia and the International Institute of Forecasting.
