SAS Institute Australia appointed Carolin Lautenbach in the role of SAP Solution Manager, ANZ in April 2007. She is based at the company’s ANZ regional head office in Sydney and is responsible for all of SAS Institute’s marketing activities, new business initiatives and customer implementations in the SAP critical business processes environment, across Australia and New Zealand.

Before joining SAS, Carolin Lautenbach spent four years in a management position with BearingPoint Australia. Coming initially from a financial background, she earlier held senior roles with KPMG and other leading consultancies in Germany in the SAP and related environments.

In her more than 15 years of IT solutions experience, she has overseen complex pre- and post-sales projects in a wide range of industries and consumer markets, including manufacturing, banking and finance, and telecommunications.

Her special fields of expertise and her consulting experience include data warehousing, business intelligence, project management, systems architecture, business process design and reengineering, corporate performance measurement and management, and financial accounting.

She earned her degree in Computing Science in Germany, at the University of Technology, Fulda and her Financial Controller certification from Germany’s Industrial Chamber of Commerce.

In addition, she is SAP-certified for that organisation’s Business Information Warehouse (SAP BW), Strategic Enterprise Management, R/3 Financials and other solution sets.

German by birth, Carolin also speaks French and Spanish, as well as English.
