Adam Stott, SAS Australia's General Manager, Financial Intelligence (FI), joined SAS in October 2005 with the charter to exploit the enormous market potential of SAS FI solutions.

In his role of General Manager, FI, Adam is responsible for extending the customer base of the SAS FI portfolio of solutions, which are instrumental in establishing a solid Corporate Performance Management (CPM) environment. Corporate Performance Management is the main area of focus for Australia's top CFO's as continued pressure on corporate governance and efficient and effective execution continues to grow.

Commenting on the new appointment, Managing Director Gordon Clubb noted that "With the increased focus by CFO's on Corporate Performance Management, we needed to ensure we had the right team in place to take advantage of our position as leaders in business intelligence through to the CFO and Corporate Performance Management. We are now well positioned to drive this during 2006."

While a great deal of Adam's efforts are devoted to creating a strong FI sales force as well as marketing and public relations strategies, he maintains a constant schedule of meeting with C-level executives at many of SAS' most prominent customer sites. This provides Adam, and in turn the greater SAS community, with an increasingly intimate understanding of the financial intelligence challenges being faced by today's enterprises.

Having held CFO positions in a number of high profile organisations, Adam has brought to SAS a wealth of experience in customer service and project execution. In combination with his knowledge of financial intelligence issues and solutions, he is eminently qualified to collaborate with SAS customers' CFOs on introducing effective corporate performance management practices and solutions.

Prior to joining SAS, Adam spent approximately five years with Vignette, ultimately being appointed to Country Manager, Australia and New Zealand. During his time at Vignette, he was instrumental in growing the local operations from only 10 personnel to over 200.

Leading up to his position at Vignette he served for five years as the CFO for PeopleSoft Asia Pacific. During this time PeopleSoft grew from 15 to 500 employees across the region. The experiences and skills he obtained in these roles are now being applied with correspondingly high levels of success in the SAS Australia & New Zealand FI business.

Adam holds a Bachelor of Business degree with a major in accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant.
