SAS Business Analytics Users Initiate the SAS Singapore User Group
Local user group to further the interests of SAS Professionals
Singapore

– SAS, the leader in business analytics software and services, today announced the introduction of the new SAS Singapore User Group. This is an initiative driven by SAS users with the support of SAS Singapore triggered by the growing demand for greater collaboration in the business analytics sector. The introduction of the User Group is timely as business intelligence software tops the list of technology spending priorities for companies in 2009, according to a Gartner survey of more than 1,500 CIOs worldwide , making it imperative for like-minded users to gather and discuss ways to optimize the SAS solution.
The key objectives of the SAS Singapore User Group are:

networking and exchanging ideas about using SAS technology and services within user group members

enhancing the understanding of SAS software and services, including new SAS releases

having more influence over the direction of SAS software and services

professional advancement through the promotion of the advantages for leveraging business analytic

Chaired by Eric Sandosham, Head of Decision Management, South East Asia, Citibank, the SAS Singapore User Groups’ Executive Committee members include leaders from different industries. The members include:

The Executive Committee will focus on setting the direction and strategy of the user group, while at the same time, initiate key activities to meet the needs of the users.
