(December 10, 2008) – With a powerful set of diverse
Business Analytics offerings, SAS continued to outpace
the overall market in 2007, according to prominent
analyst firm IDC.
SAS announces
availability of SAS® for customer experience
analytics
(October 14, 2008) – SAS, the business analytics
software leader, has announced the global launch of SAS
for Customer Experience Analytics - anew addition to
SAS’ comprehensive Customer Intelligence suite. This is
the result of a global teaming agreement with
Speed-Trap, a UK-based provider of software that uses
Web 2.0 technology to deliver complete on-line customer
insight. The solution captures real-time data from the
web channel and integrates it with data from other
channels to provide companies with true multi-channel
customer intelligence that will help them better
understand and communicate to their customers.

and Analytics adoption

(September 10, 2008) – SAS, the leader in business
intelligence (BI) and analytics, is experiencing strong
demand for its software, despite the challenging global
economy. SAS is experiencing its fastest rate of revenue
growth in the emerging markets of Asia-Pacific, Eastern
Europe and Latin America. In 2007, SAS revenue grew 28
percent in Brazil, nearly 50 percent in India, almost 60
percent in Russia and 67 percent in China.
SMU and SAS
collaborate on major initiatives to develop business
intelligence capabilities
(May 06, 2008) – The Singapore Management University (SMU)
has entered into a major collaboration with SAS, market
leader in business intelligence and analytical software
and services, to build up research and teaching
capabilities in the field of business intelligence. A
new SAS Enterprise Intelligence Laboratory powered by
IBM System p server has been established at SMU,
equipped with a comprehensive suite of business
intelligence software and backend hardware sponsored by
SAS and IBM worth about S$660,000. In addition, SAS has
contributed S$180,000 to SMU to establish scholarships
for undergraduate and postgraduate studies in
Information Systems Management with a special emphasis
on business intelligence technology and applications.
SAS retains dominant
leadership position in operational risk management
report for fourth consecutive year
(April 16, 2008) – SAS, the leader in business
intelligence, is again ranked as the leader in
operational risk management by Chartis Research in its
Operational Risk Management Systems 2008 report. Since
2005, Chartis has positioned SAS OpRisk Management in
the top spot for “completeness of offering” and “market
share potential.” SAS leads “a handful of software
vendors [who] have established themselves as clear
leaders and form the ‘premier league.’”

(February 05, 2008) – Intense demand for
analytics-powered business intelligence propelled BI
leader SAS to its 31st straight year of revenue growth.
2007 revenue totaled US$2.15 billion, up 15 percent over
2006 results, SAS announced today.
