SAS Pakistan hosts a seminar on Business Intelligence and Advanced Analytics for Telecom industry

SAS introduces Business Intelligence solutions to help Telecoms combat the challenges of Mobile Number Portability.

Islamabad, Pakistan (April. 25, 2007). SAS, the leader in business intelligence, today hosted major telecom companies of Pakistan at its Telecom Intelligence Forum. Chairman Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) Major General (Retd.) Shahzada Alam was also present at this occasion. He discussed the merits of Mobile Number Portability in a fast paced growing telecommunication market of Pakistan.

“Telecom sector in Pakistan has seen tremendous growth in Pakistan over the last few years but now with new entrants in the market and launch of Mobile Number Portability the competitive environment has been fierce”, said Mazhar Hussain, Country Manager, SAS Pakistan, “As a direct consequence there is a renewed focus on strategies that are geared towards customer retention, quality of service, cross sell up sell opportunities and targeted campaigns to compete in the new Telecom era.”
