Scaling New Heights - December 19 2004
SAS Malaysia (SAS), the leading business intelligence solutions and services providers recently presented a total of RM8,597.33 to Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) in support of the institution's charity programme Selangkah ke Alam Universiti. SAS managing director Jimmy Cheah said: "This effort is part of our long-term goal to be a contributing corporate citizen. Kuala Lumpur 26 Nov. - Peneraju pasaran penyelesaian dan perkhidmatan kepintaran SAS Malaysia (SAS) akan mengadakan ekspedisi mendaki Gunung Kinabalu bersama pelanggan utamanya tidak lama lagi. Ekspedisi yang akan berakhir dengan pengibaran bendera korporat SAS 9 di puncak gunung bertujuan untuk mengumpul wang sebanyak RM10,000 yang akan disumbangkan kepada Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) bagi mengadakan program 'Selangkah Ke Alam Universiti'.

Charity expedition up Mount Kinabalu - November 14 2004
SAS Malaysia, the leading business intelligence solutions and services provider, will soon team-up with its key customers and set-off for the steep ascent to the top of Mount Kinabalu in Sabah. The fund-raising expedition, which will culminate in the planting of the SAS 9 flag at Malaysia's highest peak, is an effort to raise at least RM10,000. The proceeds will be channelled to support the Universiti Utara Malaysia's annual charity programme, Selangkah ke Allam Universiti, which offers schooling orphans an opportunity to experience campus life.

SAS Institute sets up new business unit - March 10 2004
Business solutions provider SAS Institute Sdn Bhd has set up a new business unit – Financial Intelligence Solutions – to help Malaysian companies become globally competitive. Its principal Sheikh Manzoor Ghani said SAS was looking into this business segment following the stiff requirements under the Sarbanes Oxley Act that was enforced globally. The act, passed by the US Congress in 2002, represented the most sweeping legislation to hit corporate America. SAS achieves 13.5 percent worldwide revenue growth in 2003 - March 1 2004
SAS, a provider of business intelligence software, today announced financial results for 2003 at its headquarter based in Cary, North Carolina, USA reporting overall revenue of US$1.34 billion (RM5.1 billion). This represented a 13.5 percent increase in revenue growth and marked the 27th consecutive year of profitable revenue growth for SAS. "At a time when other large software vendors have experienced reduced revenue and slashed both headcount and R&D spending, SAS has continued to grow in both market presence and revenue," said Dr. Jim Goodnight, chief executive officer, SAS.

BI market to grow ... beyond analysts' expectations - January 14 2004
KUALA LUMPUR: The local business intelligence (BI) market is set to grow beyond even analysts' optimistic predictions, according to a BI software vendor.In a recent report, IDC forecasted that the market will grow to US$7.6mil (RM28.9mil) at a compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7% from 2002 to 2007, SAS Malaysia said in a statement.
