Three wins first ever SAS Lecturer Excellence Awards
Kuala Lumpur, 28 July 2008 - Three lecturers beat their peers from twelve other universities to be the first few to win the SAS Lecturer Excellence Awards at the SAS Forum 2008 held recently in Kuala Lumpur.
The winners are Associate Professor Dr. Rasimah binti Aripin from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), Associate Professor Dr. Noor Azizi bin Ismail from Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) and Associate Professor Dr. Muhammad Hisyam Lee from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM).
The SAS Lecturer Excellence Awards is reputed to be the first of its kind to be awarded by a software vendor in Malaysia, that recognizes the lecturer's role in teaching and helping to promote analytical and ICT skills among university students.

The three winners were selected based on their high scores in twelve criterias such as:-
Promoting the incorporation of SAS Academic Program into the university's course syllabus,
Teaching SAS as a course to university students
Is a SAS Accredited Trainer,
Is an active presenter and speaker on research work done via SAS in SAS Forums and other SAS events.
SAS Academic Program is currently taught and incorporated as part of the curriculum in more than fifteen universities and instututions of higher learnings in Malaysia.
