Open for Registration: 1st July 2009 (Wednesday)
Registration Close: 1st September 2009 (Tuesday)
Competition Date: 21st November 2009
Registration fee: RM50 per team (each participant will get a limited edition T-shirt)
Number of participants: Team up 3 students + 1 backup (optional)
* SAS and UiTM will cover the expenses of maximum of 3 teams + 1 advisor per university. Entrance fee of RM20 will be charge to non-participants who wishes to attend. Accommodation can be arranged at RM15 per pax for other participants or non-participants.
Format of the competition: 2 rounds
1st round: Answer 50 Multiple Choice Questions (SAS Programming Syntax) within 1 hour
Final round: QnA for top 5 teams. Questions are related to SAS. Each participant will need to answer 1 question. Another question for the group where any team member can answer. 10 points will be given for each correct answer. Team which scores the highest marks will be the winner. (In case there are 2 teams holding similar points, each of the team will need to answer another question so on so forth till winner being identify in case.)
Prizes:
Champion: RM1,000 cash + Certificates + Plaque
1st runner up: RM500 cash + Certificates + Plaque
2nd runner up: RM300 cash + Certificates + Plaque
Transport: UiTM bus to ferry students/advisors from hostel to competition venue (8.30 am) and from competition venue to hostel (4.30pm)
Meals: Morning tea break, lunch and afternoon tea break will be provided
