You are familiar with databases and have experience with the relevant, necessary IT tools. SAS PROGRAMMER, FINANCIAL SECTOR In Financial Markets, Corporate Development and Economics, we are responsible for management reporting and strategy work in X's financial sector. Solving our problems requires a well-developed, well-documented data foundation, which you would help to develop. You will have the following tasks:
You are a programmer, preferably with a background in economics, a degree in political science/economics, since you will be working with data for a series of product categories which require a basic knowledge of economics.
In X, we are responsible for producing information to support the sale and marketing of the bank's commercial products, and we develop systems for management information in close cooperation with the bank's business specialists. We mainly use SAS for ad-hoc analyses and for the development of finished user applications. The end user is also given access to the developed systems and analyses via web technology on the bank's own Intranet. We are now seeking a new colleague who can become a system developer and carry out business-oriented analytical work. Your background You are about to complete or have recently completed a higher education course in economics, possibly combined with data processing/computer science. You have a good grasp of general economic concepts. You are very interested in IT and are familiar with the most commonly used PC programs; you may know a little about html. It is an advantage if you have worked with SAS programming, but this is not essential. You will receive a solid training in SAS programming, internally and externally, and will be able to build up a broad base of experience in a large organisation with a wide range of career opportunities. |
