DATA MINER WITH BUSINESS KNOWLEDGE FOR ANALYTICAL CRM, TELCO INDUSTRIES

Area of responsibility and tasks

You will play an active role in X's activities with regard to CRM and customer loyalty. Activities within these areas are always carried out on the basis of the analyses for which you are responsible - analyses that are primarily created using the SAS and CDM systems. In addition, you will assist the Marketing Department in defining requirements for campaigns, including preparing reports, data validation, response handling, processing of campaign results, data import and export. Ultimately, you are the department's requester of and super-user of X's CRM systems.

Who are you?

You are around 25 - 30 years old. You have a good knowledge of IT, of course, but you believe that IT is a tool with which you can support your understanding of business. You are more driven by your enthusiasm to produce results for the organisation than your love of working with IT.

In addition, you:
  • are a good communicator
  • are willing to work with others
  • take responsibility for your own work
  • have a well-developed team spirit

In your present job (or student job), you have gained experience in data mining and database marketing, including specifically the use of SAS . You are familiar with databases and have experience with the relevant, necessary IT tools. We expect you to be academically qualified, for example, with a degree in commerce, economics or political science.

Who are we?

You will work in the Analytical CRM Team, which is part of Sales & Marketing. The department brings together X's CRM expertise, and the job is therefore in a very dynamic, varied area of business. It will provide you with a good opportunity to develop yourself and your career. The team is young, and because we are a relatively newly formed team, the mood is one of enthusiasm, where we are able to try out all sorts of commercial possibilities. We work at a high speed and have lots to do - you will therefore bear considerable responsibility and face plenty of challenges.

PRACTICAL STATISTICIAN, RESEARCH

We are looking for a statistician for our statistics and analysis department to develop tools and statistics from electricity consumption data for power supply planners, energy consultants and public authorities.

Our areas of expertise include the development of statistical tools and models, the forecasting of x consumption, the build-up of x consumption databases and the design of market analyses.

Area of work:
  • The main emphasis will be on the development of new forecasting methods and new descriptive models of x consumption in the commercial and housing sectors, improvement of existing models, calculation of sample sizes, identification of unique characteristics and the development and calculation of key figures. The work is carried out in close cooperation with the company's other departments, plus experts from the electricity sector and public authorities.
  • Depending on your profile and your interests, the job could also include some data management including the preparation of data, development of data warehouses, and the design and programming of standard reports.
What we expect:
  • You will be qualified, e.g. as a B.Comm., B.Sc. (Econ.) or engineer specialising in statistics.
  • You have experience of statistical tools, especially SAS.
  • You are committed and work in an analytical, structured way.
  • You are good at documenting your work and results.
  • You like working with a large internal and external contact potential.
  • You keep lots of balls in the air at the same time.
  • A knowledge of database systems would be an advantage, but is not essential.

What we offer:

  • A challenging job in a dynamically developing sector with good opportunities for personal and professional development.
  • Exciting and varied work in a specialist, informal environment.
  • Work in a team with committed colleagues who are looking for creativity and an innovative attitude.
  • Project work with external cooperation partners

SAS PROGRAMMER, FINANCIAL SECTOR

In Financial Markets, Corporate Development and Economics, we are responsible for management reporting and strategy work in X's financial sector. Solving our problems requires a well-developed, well-documented data foundation, which you would help to develop. You will have the following tasks:

  • Participating, as Financial Market's representative, in X's data warehouse project
  • Developing and automating management reporting
  • Specifying and drawing up requirements for the data foundation for Financial Markets, and developing complete electronic solutions.

Your background

You are a programmer, preferably with a background in economics, a degree in political science/economics, since you will be working with data for a series of product categories which require a basic knowledge of economics.

SAS TRAINEE, FINANCIAL SECTOR

In X, we are responsible for producing information to support the sale and marketing of the bank's commercial products, and we develop systems for management information in close cooperation with the bank's business specialists. We mainly use SAS for ad-hoc analyses and for the development of finished user applications. The end user is also given access to the developed systems and analyses via web technology on the bank's own Intranet. We are now seeking a new colleague who can become a system developer and carry out business-oriented analytical work.

Your background

You are about to complete or have recently completed a higher education course in economics, possibly combined with data processing/computer science. You have a good grasp of general economic concepts. You are very interested in IT and are familiar with the most commonly used PC programs; you may know a little about html. It is an advantage if you have worked with SAS programming, but this is not essential.

You will receive a solid training in SAS programming, internally and externally, and will be able to build up a broad base of experience in a large organisation with a wide range of career opportunities.
