SAS TO FOCUS ON INDIAN SMB MARKETS

Launches reseller program in India.
 



9 SMB bundles announced for reseller community to address growing Business Intelligence needs of Indian SMB customers.

Mumbai, June 07, 2007 – SAS India today announced the launch of its reseller program in India for value-added resellers (VARs), systems integrators and independent software vendors interested in selling SAS® software. SAS today also announced launch of 9 SMB bundles which would be addressing needs of Indian SMB customers and would be sold only through Resellers to Indian SMB customers. Both of the above announcements emphasizes SAS’ commitment to deliver required business intelligence to Indian SMB customers and make them more competitive both locally and globally.

 “As SAS resellers, our global channel partners can offer their customers the most comprehensive business intelligence software in the market, including a ‘one-stop-shop’ for software and services,” said Mr. Miles Mahoney, Vice President - SAS Global Alliances and Channels. “We are committed to provide all the support to our channel partners in successfully promoting our Business Intelligence solutions to their customers. This includes appropriately priced products as well as field marketing, pre and post sales service and engineering to support the entire product lifecycle management for the SMB market” added Mr. Mahoney.

Sen, CEO and Managing Director - SAS Institute India. “This Reseller program will significantly increase SAS’ market penetration in India by authorizing our channel partners to resell the most comprehensive business intelligence software on the market” added Mr. Sen.

 Nine different bundles, customized specifically for small to midsize businesses, include SAS Data Integration, Business Intelligence and Analytics software. SAS’ reseller program will continue to emphasize the SAS Enterprise Intelligence Platform, which includes Data Integration, Intelligence Storage, Business Intelligence and Analytics.
