SAS, the global leader in Business Intelligence solutions, on Monday announced the appointment of Sudipta Sen as the CEO & Managing Director, SAS India Pvt. Ltd. Vivek Gokarn, the present CEO & Managing Director, SAS India has been promoted to a regional Asia-Pacific responsibility of Professional Services Director, SAS - South East Asia & India.

Prior to his appointment as CEO & Managing Director, SAS India, Sudipta Sen was the Managing Director of COMSAT MAX Limited. During Sen's stewardship, COMSAT MAX then a start-up, has grown from a leading provider of VSAT and Internet VPN services to a 'managed' Infocom Services Provider. He has also held senior executive positions in companies like TATA- IBM and Fujitsu ICIM, in his close to three decades of experience with the IT Industry.

Vivek Gokarn in his new role as Professional Services Director, SAS - South East Asia & India will be responsible for strengthening & growing the profitability of the regional Professional services organization in the geography, which includes Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and India. Mr. Gokarn will continue to manage and serve on the board of SAS Global Services, India.
