BPL Mobile ties up with SAS - June 04, 2003
BPL Mobile has entered into a tie-up with business
intelligence solutions provider, SAS, for its customer retention solution (CRS)
, which will enable the cellular operator to manage subscriber churn across its
circles. The CRS is part of SAS's recently launched Telecom Intelligence
solutions for the Indian market. The company had already implemented churn
management solutions for cellular operators Airtel and Hutch. The solution would
enable BPL to analyse information generated through daily transactions across
its 1.2m
criber base,
and identify factors which contribute to churn. "In the prevailing market
environment, customer service would be the key differentiator and the churn
solution would help us to identify specific customer requirements across various
categories and address them. Going ahead, we will be able to customise products
based on feedback generated through this solution,"said Deepak Varma,
