SAS launches Enterprise BI server

The product offers accurate and customized reports for all levels of business and IT users across the organization

SAS, provider of business intelligence (BI) solutions, has launched an enhanced version of the SAS Enterprise BI Server, a major component of the SAS9 Enterprise Intelligence Platform. The solution offers OLAP storage and mapping capabilities integrated with a BI tool offering. It combines ease of use with in-depth reporting capabilities and offers a more sophisticated level of analytics-driven BI with easy and fast access to data for business users across the enterprise.

Enterprise BI Server delivers reports on time, on demand and on target, reducing the time spent looking for answers and making more time available for driving decisions and results. With the ability to draw information from a wide variety of data sources including transactional systems, it also allows organizations to leverage existing IT investments for optimal benefits.

Additionally, the solution also facilitates streamlining of the IT function within the enterprise through easy implementation, administration and deployment, reducing time and expense of IT resources.

Commenting on the launch, SAS Institute (India) MD and CEO, Sudipta K Sen said, “SAS offers an integrated BI environment that delivers consistent and accurate information based on a single version of the truth.”

He added, “With several organizations having invested in operational systems, it has become necessary to optimize these to generate RoI. The SAS Enterprise BI Server will provide Indian organizations with the business benefits that include users' timely access to information; cost containment and operational efficiencies; self-service reporting; confidence in the data; regulatory compliance; and IT standardization.”
